A joint funeral service was held for Doris Livingston and Martha Faye Clements. They were killed in an automobile/truck collision on GA 46 near Soperton.
Bid was approved for 12 miles of I-16 construction in Candler and Bulloch counties. Field Highway Engineer Billy Foskey said that I-16 had 48 miles not open for traffic.
