If my calendar notes are correct, Vietnam Veterans may receive new disability compensation as early as November 1. Senator Jim Webb called for a 60-day delay for the Senate to consider new Agent Orange presumptives, and the sixty days will end October 31.
While we wait, here is an interesting article of how people in Massachusetts are helping Vietnam Veterans claim their benefits, which include those for the living veteran or the veteran's widow.
"These benefits could open up a whole new world for the recipients, where their quality of life is enhanced a hundred times more than if they never filed a claim," said Kevin O'Connor, a Vietnam veteran.
