There are other photos of the Soperton railroad depot before it was renovated into a city hall in 1973. (The open house was September that year.) The unique thing about this snapshot is that it also captures a moment in local history, February 10, 1973, when everybody woke to see the biggest snow ever seen previously or since in the area.
Believe it or not, the photo was made from a black and white negative. Imagine that!
