June Harrell's majorettes were chosen "best all round" team at Majorette Camp at Georgia Southern. Left to right: Mascot Regina Banes, ---- Rotton, Paula Bowers, Mrs. Harrell, Theresa Walker, Carol Braddy, Suzanne Harrell, Captain Priscilla Crumpler, Co-Captain Rebekah Brooks, and Lea Carter.
Majorettes were often pageant winners, too. They had great poise and smooth movement. The beautiful Cadillac, in 2010, is referred to as a "land yacht".
Others that week: baseball, canning plant, and Sheriff Lewis Johnson with marijuana plants.
