1976 Snow at City Hall

Wonder how long it has been since a boxcar (or carbox) stood on the sidetrack in Soperton? The depot had been transformed and dedicated as City Hall in September 1973 (six months after the really big snow). Mayor Frank Radford had parked his Radford Cleaners delivery vehicle.  Those aren't dust spots on the negative, but snow falling and sticking on the vegetation. Mason's was still operating at their building. Someone is standing at the City Hall door, Becky maybe?

Others that week: Jaycees working in the storm, lots more snow pictures including some at Million Pines, promotion poster for "the silent killers", fire knocker at the forestry unit.
