1980 Mrs. Louise Hall Wins Grocery Run

The Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC) held their annual raffle for a 1.5 minute grocery run at Harrell's IGA.  THS Counselor and former science teacher Louise Hall grabbed up $126.23 worth (a lot of groceries back then), finishing up with a Christmas turkey.

Others that week: Lots of church Christmas programs, 2 TPS programs, band concert, C. D. Williams House, Tri-Hi-Y took gifts to Training Center children, 4-H top sellers, Soperton Manufacturing Company awards, the W. W. Keas, basketball, TPS pinata, Braddy children, Sue Hutcheson, Welcome Center, Leatrice Kight, Jerlene Warnock, Carlton Warnock, George L. McLendon.
