YOU ARE THERE - December 25, 1985

"The Year in Review" was written by J. Clayton Burke, Jr.

The Soperton Garden Club inspired Soperton residents to use white Christmas lights, causing one observer to say "It looks like Fairyland!"

City Council announced that the dog ordinance would be strictly enforced starting January 2.

Chuck Sumner was home for the holidays.

Only four deer were reported killed for the week, the largest being 165 pounds, 8 points by Robert Burns.

Honored by Soperton Manufacturing Company: Emory Nell Morrison, Jeanette Anderson, and Dot Smith (25 years); Eloise Phillips, Elma Phillips, Inell Harris, and Hazel Hardy (20 years); Phyllis Ricks, Martha Price, and Corine Ricks (10 years).

A choral ensemble accompanied the band in its Christmas Concert: Beth Sumner, Beth Cammack, Suzanne Meeks, Jackie Cammack, Kent Miller, and Stephen Hall.
