YOU ARE THERE - December 10, 1975


Three-year-old Marnie Hope Smith penned her letter to Santa, as did hundreds of other Treutlen County children.

State Jaycee President Bob Rushton and Swainsboro Jaycee President John Stegall were special guests at the Soperton Jaycees Charter Night, Tim Currie presiding.

Mrs. Hugh (Jean) Gillis became the newest member of the Vidalia DAR.

Mr. andMrs. Tommy Heath announced the birth of a daughter, Alecia Lea, born December 2.

Mrs. Claudia Pullen fashioned handmade furnishings for her granddaughter's doll house, which was constructed by Johnny Roy Scott.

The THS Debate Team included Shannon Britt, Suzanne Harrell, John Ellington, Cheryl Burns, and Karen Pollette.

Jean Ellington received her BS in Psychology from Georgia College (and State University) at Milledgeville.

Discount Furniture Outlet of Dublin held yet another "Going Out of Business" sale.

Mayor Radford questioned the County Board of Commissioners about updating the card system on property taxes.
