1980 Treutlen's First Armadillo

August 13, 1980

There may have been other armadillos, but this one is the first one recorded (photographed) and documented. That's what makes it history. Thanks to Marty Hooks and Andy Hooks and others like them who took the trouble to share important things with the whole community. I believe that God honors such caring attitudes.

Others that week: Ossie Jackson's grandchildren playing under a sprinkler in the Jackson front yard (the old house was relocated to Darvin Shepherd's place), cheerleaders, Jackie Ellington, R. H. Warnock, softball teams, Lewis Moxley's retirement, a meeting at Sweat's, Wendell Foskey, games in the park, Smokey the Bear.
